Representative Workforce Statement

The Cypress Health Region is committed to maintaining a culturally diverse and representative workforce. Candidates are encouraged to self declare in writing that they are a member of a designated minority group.

Aboriginal Partnership Agreement

On March 29, 2005 , the Cypress Health Region and Affiliates, Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations, Unions, and First Nations and Métis Relations signed an Aboriginal Partnership Agreement. The parties agree to work towards a representative workforce wherein Aboriginal people are employed in all classification and at all levels in proportion to their representation in the working age population.

Since signing this agreement, the Cypress Health Region has provided educational opportunities for all employees to deal with misconceptions and dispel myths about Aboriginal people. The Region also provides each new staff with the opportunity to self identify as a member of a minority group.
