Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do It (MEND) Program Starting March 14, 2017


The University of Saskatchewan will be launching its Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do It (MEND) program in Swift Current, thanks to the Growing Healthy Families Coalition (City of Swift Current Chinook School DivisionHoly Trinity Catholic School South West District Culture Rec & Sport).

What is MEND:
•MEND is a free eight-week healthy lifestyle program for children 7-13 years of age and their parents or caregivers. The program has proven to help empower the whole family to be fitter, healthier and happier.
•Twice-weekly, parents/caregivers join their children to learn about how to choose healthier foods and spend more time being physically active.
•This program is fun and interactive and supports children and their families to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
