The Cypress Health Region is building excellence in rural health and is in the midst of capital projects aimed at creating sustainable infrastructure to match the continued growth of our region.
Three capital projects that are at the forefront include the communities of Swift Current, Maple Creek, and Leader.
Swift Current Long Term Care Replacement, The Meadows – Swift Current, SK
The Meadows, Swift Current’s new 225 bed long-term care facility, began welcoming residents home in June 2016. The Province of Saskatchewan and the Cypress Health Region elected to complete the project using a design-build-finance-maintain public-private partnership (P3) procurement model. Please visit The Meadows – Swift Current Long Term Care Project page for the most current information on this project.
Southwest Integrated Healthcare Facility – Maple Creek, SK
The Southwest Integrated Healthcare Faclity (SIHF) in Maple Creek was constructed to replace the former Maple Creek Hospital and Cypress Lodge Nursing Home. The SIHF has been based on the principles of Lean methodology and features a unique, improved model of care for residents of the southwest.
