Each year in Saskatchewan approximately 2,200 people sustain an acquired brain injury. The most common causes for the injury include vehicle collisions, strokes, falls, and brain aneurysms.
The Cypress Health Region offers an Acquired Brain Injury program for those who encounter such an injury. Clients can include survivors of a brain injury and family members. Services offered include case management, counselling and support, support groups, and work/school program modifications.
