Pre-admission for Delivery

Once you have reached 36 weeks gestation (or your 36th week of pregnancy) you can be pre-admitted for your delivery. Booking a preadmission visit allows you to meet some of the staff and ask questions so that you can be ready for your baby’s arrival. Preadmission also allows you to alleviate some of the tasks that otherwise need to be completed during your time at the Hospital.

Preadmissions occur every Tuesday from 1:30pm to 3:30pm and can be booked by calling (306) 778-9418.

When arriving for a preadmission be sure to stop at the admitting desk before coming to the Women and Children’s Health Services Unit. During a preadmission visit, a nurse will go over the admission and history paper-work with you, as well as a few simple consent forms. You will also receive an information package about what to expect during and after delivery. A tour of the unit is also available at this time.
