Cypress Health Region social media accounts are monitored Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Interaction with any account outside of these hours may not result in a timely response. We welcome feedback from our followers and we try to join the conversation wherever possible.
The privacy and confidentiality of Cypress Health Region staff and patients is paramount. Any mention of names of patients or staff of the Cypress Health Region is strictly prohibited, unless prior written authorization and consent has been obtained. Posts including names of patients or staff will be immediately removed, where possible, and that individual user may, in the sole discretion of the Cypress Health Region, be blocked from any further activity on the Cypress Health Region’s social media accounts. Posting the names and/or photos of patients or staff is only permitted with documented consent from the Communications Department or where specifically requested.
Remember, information and images shared online cannot be retrieved or deleted. To respect the privacy of others, only post with proper authorization and consent.
The views of participants of Cypress Health accounts are not necessarily representative of the Cypress Health Region. Users participate at their own risk and take full personal responsibility for their comments, username, and information provided. We strongly advise all users to avoid including their personal information in posts including phone numbers, email addresses, and date of birth.
The appearance of followers and likes of the Cypress Health accounts does not imply endorsement, nor does Cypress Health following a particular user. Advertisements that appear on or next to Cypress Health accounts from third party agencies do not imply endorsement.
Inappropriate use
Inappropriate use of the Cypress Health Region social media accounts is prohibited. Inappropriate use includes, but is not limited to, posts that, as determined by the Cypress Health Region, are unlawful, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, slanderous, hateful, disruptive, or embarrassing to any other person or entity as determined by the Cypress Health Region. The Cypress Health Region reserves the right to remove communications that are inappropriate.
We will not participate in dialogue or respond to questions that are:
- Suggestive of illegal activity.
- Solicitations, advertisements, or endorsements.
- Not written in English.
- Provided by someone other than the author and/or posted anonymously.
- Unintelligible, irrelevant, or far off topic.
Reporting inappropriate use
Any inappropriate use on any of the Cypress Health Region’s official social media accounts should be promptly reported to the Communications Department by emailing info@cypressrha.ca.
Blocking users
A user’s access to Cypress Health Region accounts may be blocked immediately, without notice, upon breaching any of the above-mentioned terms of use.
